I myself found it very lackluster as I cannot get much out of it. The Brace of the Moonglaive or the stun from the Soulbreaker are my go to weapons.
Ohh and btw, most people don't think about the fact that you can keep different weapons to work around the cooldown of those skills. Most of them only reset when shortresting, some like the stun only on a long rest. So after I used the stun of the Soulbreaker, I swap my weapon for a different weapon so I have another cool skill. So, even though Thorms Hammer isn't the best option all around, it might be the best option for the rest of the day.
Makes for a nice doorstopper.
what are the afflictions? afaik its just a normal hammer that has the prof skills
And you're never going to really find something that makes you OP in any way. They've done a solid job making sure everything is balanced.
