Edowin's Spear shaft missing from body.

Talked to his two acolytes, they ran off and I used a speak with dead spell on his corpse.
looted it but no shaft. The Owlbear mother had the spearhead. A little confused - any advice?

I'm having problems finding the spear shaft also. I thought perhaps I sold it by mistake, but I haven't been able to track it down on any shop keepers.

OK, so restarted a new character and the shaft was on the body -phew. Its not very distinguishable from the food/camp items that Edowin also has in his inventory. There's a good chance i accidentally sold the shaft or squirreled it away in a pouch/container.

Yes - you right click and combine the two items.

I had the same problem with the Ice Staff where someone in my MP party sold the other piece I needed to a vendor and I had to buy it back

This happened to me. Turns out, It was being held by a party member I was no longer using. I pickpocketed Shadowheart and she had it.
