how to move the camera up and down levels
I'm fighting in a building with multiple floors and I'm having a hard time finding a way to move the camera to the floor where the badguys are to give my character the order to go there, because when I click my character the camera takes me back up to the top floor.

Is there a way to move the camera manually between horizontal levels?

You can't, it's extremely annoying in many places.

Get a mod for it, I did and it works beautifully.

Also, I think Larian is releasing this feature in Patch 2 (not the big one that is coming, but the one after), as many have requesting an option to show/ hide tiers when in buildings, etc.

Mind sharing what mod you used? I'm trying to find one for this and just finding mods that change zoom and tilt and are not helping see floors

Switch to Tactical (different from Turn) mode. Use Scroll wheel to back out to max. Then you can move the camera around.

You can also mouse over the target portraits and it will till you the hit status.

A tip I found online that really helped was that you can click the portrait of anyone that's already on the floor/layer that you want to get to. Just make sure you aren't already clicked into an attack or spell. Doing this won't change your focus from the active character so you can then click your move/jump/fly or whatever and select a spot on the destination floor to move to it.

There's a mod called Native Camera Tweaks which frees up the camera movement a bit. I can deal with the default though so I uninstalled it again. But yeah, camera movement by default isn't optimal.
