I regret sympathising with Astarion at that junction. He is irredeemable.
If he wants to do something then I do the opposite and it works out very well.
he just gets a flat out 1 bonus to everything, not to mention hes act 3 story is good stuff
no regrets.
You're describing Shadowheart. Astarion doesn't get better as you learn more about him, he gets worse. I was actually expecting him to be the most sympathetic character in the game because of his popularity. He's not. I like the way he was written, it's not pandering at all and he's truly monstrous, but I do not like him.
I've had him in my party for the entirety of my singleplayer game.
...
You have obviously missed a lot of interaction with him.
Laezel, Shadowhart, Gale and my Ranger.
The perfect party - Tank, Healer, Mage, Archer
Dont get me wrong, im not a pro, this is my first time ever DND game, but you become extremely powerful, with summoning creatures that have 125-160 hp, and that can push enemies off cliffs with their abilities.
I dont think i would need even a +5 strength buff.
Plus my main Strength character already has +23 strength gloves
