You playing on a Mac, that's your first problem. Who plays videosgames on a Mac lol.

I'm surprised you managed to even fit the install on your 256gb ssd. It doesn't even have a dedicated video card, if it did open you're not doing anything past the title screen lmao

Throw it out the window and get a PC, I heard that fixes the problem.

m1-m2 chipset can run the latest tomb raider.

just saying it's around a 1080ti(or a 3060 mobile) or close enough, without dedicated gpu... not bad

I believe the mac release is behind. There were a bunch of people complaining about it in steam reviews.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

You're wild that intel Iris APU is not even close lmao, its base clock is 300mhz. Every site comparing it to the 1080 had the 1080 leagues ahead. Not even the 1080 TI just the regular ol GTX 1080. APU's especially in a laptop are not going to be close to even low end video cards. Can't believe you even had me doubt myself and had to google it up.

Ya know Im running BG 3 on max settings on crossover (I am on m1 max). Im sure it runs better than on your "windoze" machine. The mac native version will be awesome when it releases.

And I was running the Early Access of the game on my MacBook Pro M1 Pro, also on Max settings. It was running smoothly. Unlike my GeForce Now instance, which has weird texture pop in and out.

Why do the idiots who know nothing about macs always post the same, boring crap every time on one of these threads? I mean really, it's like they think they're funny or original or something.

Anyway, in their last communication about PS5 and Mac versions, I believe they said they're targeting September 6th for the release. At this point, I would just be patient and not bother with the EA version unless you want to know generally how it will run (it will run pretty well on machines with at least 16 GB RAM). You will have to make sure all your EA saves are deleted before starting with the real release.

They are unremarkable people who think their glorified Xboxes, tricked out with RGB lights, make them special. I mean, do those people do other things besides gaming with their Windows machines?

What are you even talking about, nobody said anything about Intel Iris and Apple's M1 chips are a totally different thing, performing much better too. In case you didn't notice, there is no Intel anymore in Macbooks, hasn't been for quite a while. If you google some Macbook specs, maybe at lesast make sure the site isn't 6 years old and gives you the performance of the actual M1 Macbook?
They do play games fine, on the level of a lower end desktop gaming GPU at least, and since BG3 will be a native M1 port you can expect better performance than e.g. Shadow of the Tomb Raider too which requires a translation layer but is still playable enough.
