Does wizard subclasses affect spells?
If I am, say, a wizard with Conjuration as subclass, are my conjuration spells more powerful than if another subclass wizard had cast them? Same goes for any subclass, I was just using Conjuration as an example.

there are sublclass effects like the evoker has the spell shaping passive which keeps you from hurting your allies with AoE. I'm not sure offhand what any of the others are but pay 100g to respec gale and click over each one and it should let you know. For evocation you also learn evocation spells from scrolls at half price, nothing to increase their damage though.

Wizard subclasses affect the passives you get and the amount of money required to learn a spell of that school from a scroll.
It sorta depends on the School itself. Each specialization gets specific features at different levels.

Conjurers, for example, get the ability to cast Create Water once per short rest at level two. This is incrrdibly useful if you want to double your cold and lightning damage output because the Wet condition doubles those damage types.

The TT version of the level two Conjurer class feature let the Wizard conjure any mundane object they wanted for free.

Larian's version is arguably more useful for combat, but the TT version is more fun and better for rp'ing.

You get another feature at level six.

Conjurers best feature, which grants an additional 30 hp to all of their summons, isn't available until level fourteen, and thus not in this game.

Thanks all. It sounds as if the spells themselves aren't affected. Summoning spells are not better in anyway if cast by a Conjurer compared to, say, a Necromancer. The features you get at level 2, 6 and 10 are obviously different but it doesn't feel like they make a huge difference for many (not all) subclasses.

There's one that scales with WIS and Medicine. It allows you to proc double potions when crafting potions.

Evocer is still the best as you will add your +5 INT to all fireballs.
