Then drag them all from the right side (inactive mods) to the left (active mods) put them in the correct load order per the mod installation instructions, click "Go" at the top of the window where file, edit, settings, etc are, and then click "Launch Game" (or you can press Ctrl Shift G at any time in the mod manager to launch the game, same thing. It would not launch if steam was not open so I open steam but I do not launch the game from steam. Hope this helps.
If you want to play unmodded just use the mod manager and drag them all back to the inactive side and Launch Game.
Then you need to Youtube how to mod games (or just the game you are playing) if you don't know what you are doing.
Depending on the mods you are using, you likely need to use the mod manager to load the game. I'm using mods that won't run with the Larian launcher by default so I have to use the launch option in the mod manager to run the game. For the BG3ModManager one make sure you "Save Order" then launch using the "Go" tab in the mod manager.
Most mods have "Dependencies" so if you are on Nexus look at "Requirements" and it'll say likely mod-fixer or script extender needed, if you try to run it without those two, the mod will fail, the game will likely fail to launch, or crash suddenly in play even if it does load. If you are not using Nexusmods (IE: you're particularly cultured enough to look for the truly best mods) then make sure you read the "Instructions" for usage, which usually come with most mods.
