So whats the deal with the bugbear and the big boned sturdy godzilla like woman thing?
In the barn, What horror is this. Not to mention its technically impossible unless that bugbear has a third leg. Anyone let them live?

I did.

As a bard you can mess with them pretty good and they leave without incident.

You can talk to their corpses, they're actually very much in love and perceive you as evil. They had a picnic and then had sex in the barn and from their perspective see you as someone who barged in and murdered them for no reason.

I think the scene is a homage to how half races are made. Its funny either way.

The ogre designs in this game are just dumb looking.

If you trigger cutscene with barbarian, you can deride him for being "puny" (use Karlach if you're not barb yoursefl), and he get's all flustered. And then ladyogre declares that mood was killed, and they leave.

Then be mad at WoTC for making DnD ogres look like that. Larian did a good job translating the design.

I know, right, they look nothing like Charles Audobon's definitive illustrations of ogres in the wild!

It's one of the first instances where the dreaded "millennial writing style" rears it's ugly head.
It's meant to Subvert Expectations first by telling you that this isn't your grandpa's dnd session with noble knights slaying dragons. We have le quirky sex comedy scenes.

Secondly, if you speak with the dead afterwards, you are further "subverted" because they were actually in love and you were a big dumb chud for killing these valid heckin lovers.

The writers love these kinds of mildly annoying gotcha moments. Another example is the owlbear cub. If you don't kill it because your feel bad for leaving it an orphan it will proceed to eat it's mother's corpse. See what they did there? Aren't they clever and not at all cliche with their subverting my dude??
