Planescape Torment remake
Imagine if they remade Planescape Torment with this engine, keeping the story and characters, but with this turn based combat. If anyone could do it, it would be Larian.

Heck, whatever Larian comes up with next, I'll be excited.

Didn't they already make one?

Tides of numenera something.

Don't Remember anything about it though never finished it

Not a remake, it's a mediocre game set in the same planescape.

Imagine if Larian partnered with a studio of Square Enix and remade Final Fantasy Tactics as a CRPG style of gameplay... I dunno how you would use FF lore with D&D dice rolls, but there can be a way.

It would look pretty neat to use a 'dragoon' jump attack and it actually looks like the character is doing a cool jump from a specific angle, rather than a 'fly up and disappear' and then come down on another turn later on.

I'd prefer a Neverwinter nights remake..

Yes its a different planet to Faerun.. where BG3 is held. Same as Dragonlance Krynn is another..

One of the most overrated games in existence

The one thing I notice with older D&D rulesets is that with Neverwinter nights and pathfinders and such, there is very little control interface for combat maneuvers to flow well enough, it's often toggled on and automated...

D&D in general loves all of it's spell casting systems, but the melee combat system isn't really that exciting as it's pretty standard attacks for the most part, until you get to the recent attack moves that are attached to weapons and such.

I hear more about Neverwinter than Torment?

Torment's one of those games that hasn't aged well and wasn't really finished. They wanted to add so much more to that game, and you can tell where things were cut/buggy.

I rather have Larian work on Divinity IP that they own and bring the same or better what they did with BG's 3. One thing here is they already have established the lore and moving forward what they did with BG's 3 will add more value by bringing it to hype that you know it will become super massive mainstream success. Since its new everyone will be excited, you want yourself to leave the D&D space once in a while so that it wouldn't spoil the fatigue having the same game mechanic every released. You don't want to move into the pit like Ubisoft which keep doing AC with the same mechanics with different story and settings which only has 1/2 value to theirs games.
