Can think of the hidden area in Cazador's Place where you click a button on one tower that opens an area in another tower you go in and find levers that do nothing
OR the parasite jar that combines you find after killing Gortash but not heard anyone has found something it combines to
But then there are things that I found that felt like they had nothing attached but turned out I just never found the things needed like the gemless ring you can find on the corpse which I have read there is a ringless gem you can get off a certain person or the robot arm, arming mechanism and plans that make a crossbow . So never know for sure if it is something or if it was just something that never got fully finished.
I also only found on my third playthrough right near this person there is a chest you find with a note about not getting lucky finding treasure - I thought that was the end of it and left, but on my 3rd game I found there are actually a bunch of chests there and eventually one does have some small amount of treasure in it
You can also get a tarnished ring from assembling the gemless ring you find on a dead body in rivington, and reuinite it with its stone, currently owned by the Shar lookout in the rivington refugee camp (he advances shadowheart's quest). Combine them both and voila! But you can't get anything from doing so, the vendor just shrugs like "whatcha gonna do, arrest me?", and the whole thing assembled is worth 22g to sell, so vendor trash basically.
Edit: I dimly recall an early EA build where the tarnished ring could be identified/polished into a ring of protection, it was something you found on mol if you did a quest for him or pickpocketed him, but I've never seen it happen again, now you just do the idol quest for the tieflings in act 1 and they give you a ring of protection, the only one in the game that I can find.
The beggar you can give money by pickpocketing her but can give her food or money up front
Might be a hidden easter egg somewhere, but can't find anything except for a matching ring
