Now here's the full video, which is proper context.
That player character selects the dialogue option;
"Sink deep into your magic. It is who you are. You are home."
This is a completely, objectively innocent statement that leads directly into sexual tension and intimacy, without further input nor agency. You can witness this for yourself in the video from 3 minutes onward.
Say what you will, but in my experience, for all too many companions the line between "Friendly, showing interest in what they're up to and their thoughts" and "I want to ride you like a rodeo bull" is atom-thin.
Seriously? You want to tell that people have issues to understand that? GREAT SCOTT!
But Gale IS in Fact quite Aggressive in his Attempts until You properly Friendzone him ^^
Meanwhile other Characters literally even if they like You need to be pushed by You to have a Romance.
Its quite Charming Part of the Game Really.
Each Character being Different and thus actually behaving Different rather than there being a One Fits all Mechanic for this.
Yeah, you already got violated, champ.
I got to that point and was like WOAH why is my guy looking at Gale like that and just reloaded.. I'll just shoot him down when he asks me about learning magic from now on.
I've reached the conclusion there are only three explanations for people reading this as innocent.
1. They can't read human social cues, so can't tell when two trained actors have been told to make their sexual tension abundantly obvious.
2. They are blind and deaf, so missed the narrator literally spelling it out for them.
3. They just want to defend the game from criticism and/or have a political agenda and don't really care about approaching this honestly, only about winning.
"Hey Tav, wanna learn some magic?"
Me: "Cool, my friend wants to share his interests, and magic is neat. Why not see what happens, even though I don't exactly expect miracles of arcane magic from my paladin?"
"Alright, let me just get my 'magic wand' ready.."
Me: "WHOA WHOA WHOA, that escalated fast!"
Gale AKA "Wanna see a magic show? The real magic is happening in my pants!"
I know, since Hyena are my favourite animals.
I don't see what this has to do with OP trying to shame Gale's victims, though.
