Dragonborn are mammals
I'm not bringing up that they need breasts. But they also are known to nurse. They are also warm-blooded. As far as I can tell, Dragonborn are closer to humans than they are to dragons.

My question... is how do they nurse without nipples?

How do you know the nipples aren't just under the scales?

Who knows? Nature offers nipples, udders. There are flat and inverted nipples. Etc...

Lots of options.

This misconception comes more from old concepts, where people tried to make Dragonborn female by hook or by crook.

Dragonborn may not be lizards in that sense, they have some kind of organic heating, but they are still egg-layers and not mammals.

Platypus are mammals that lay eggs.

I don't know much about DnD but is it really that far fetched that Dragonborn lay eggs like Dragons instead of live births like humans?
I did a little googling and Dragonborn do indeed lay eggs, not live births.

I'm... not stating that dragonborn don't lay eggs. I know they do. I'm more just confused on the whole nursing thing, as that is mammal thing, so they're an egg-laying mammal, correct...?

Githyankis also lay eggs, and they have breasts and nips.

Can't, gotta wait until the druids can shapeshift into any animal they've studied :)

Dragonborn have had boobs b/c the original 3.5 Dragonborn weren’t their own species but non-draconic humanoids blessed with draconic traits by Bahamut. In 4e this just kind of continued after they became their own species. The debate over Dragonborn having boobs goes back like 15-16 years. I’m personally kinda glad they don’t have them in this. Makes them look more like reptiles and less like fur suits.

Yes, fantasy and logic is such a thing, the problem is with multiplayer, which is also a PnP like D&D.

At least there, the GameMaster/DungeonMaster should agree with his players what kind of *surprises* there are when the players take a bath with their characters.

There was a player on Twitch who said "He is now getting out of the water with his kenku and wants to jump into the water next to his colleagues to annoy them, no matter if his *bird testicles* are showing".
1/3 of the twitch chat and the other players turned into *veterinarians* and said "You can't see that with the bird".

Similar problem with a Kenku fortune teller who wore *earrings*.
The question quickly arises "Where should you attach the raven?" The DM/GM, if you comb the feathers in the direction used, you can see the ear canal, there is enough space!

To the Dragonborn:
It escalated a bit there.
On the subject of feeding cubs, one player commented "They must be giving the Dragonborn toddlers vomit".
Then the GM/DM "Roll your tongue into a tube and transfer your stomach contents straight to your boy, satisfied?".
Players didn't know whether to find this more hygienic/clean or more disturbing and tended to remain silent.

It's a game by Larian Studios, so they're the GameMasters who decide.
