Buried Treasures (Frustrating mechanic)
I have to say buried treasures seeming to be randomly survival or nature rolls is somewhat frustrating.

What's also frustrating is you only ever get ONE attempt at finding them, even if you complete a quest for an NPC and they deliberately point out where a treasure is, you only ever get one chance at it.

It feels odd that an NPC "rewarding" you for completing their quest, or finding some documentation on buried supplies can be simply thwarted by the dice deciding. "Nah, you don't get this." even though you know it's there, you're never allowed to try again.

It's really just frustrating and I really wish that NPCs pointing out there's a treasure somewher at least lowered the DC to 5 or something. I have a literal map marker saying "Treasure here' but the Spot DC is 25 apparently despite knowing it's there (This example is the buried treasure near the monestary in the mountain trail, and the blue jay gave me it's location after killing the eagles.) I cannot get it because apparently none of my characters can spot the damn thing despite being told it's literally right there.

The real silly thing is you don't have to pass the check.

Put a shovel on your item hotbar. Click it. It'll let you target an area to dig in. Just click around the area you failed the check and it'll dig up the treasure.

Yeah if you see survival failed that doesn't stop you from just digging around till you find something.

That's pretty cool I didn't know haha

Thay aside iy isn't 1 check you get 4 checks on a party if you drag them all over and party members who never made the check can be brought in, if you recruit halsin and or minthara that's 7 checks 8 if you went custom or dark urge Origins, more if you have other recruits.

You could try summoning Scratch after he has joined you in the camp and you've played fetch.

WAKE UP !
This game is INTENDED to be savescummed, you can even savescum individual dialogue options. You are missing out if you do not savescum, as the whole game is built around it.

Adds replay and most buried treasure is garbage loot aside from 1 quest I think and that quest the reward was still not great lol I have save scummed only relationship dialog and the necromancy of thay book so far the rest I let it give me what I rolls ill build a character to succeed if I want that.

In case you did not know there are also treasure chests that no roll occurs for. I suspect this is to encourage exploration and random digging.
If you fail a roll just dig. If there is a chest there you can find it if you dig around where the roll occurred. If you find nothing, it may be a moveable rock or something else rather than a buried chest.

Just finished act 2 and found alot of chests and...i think they were all crap, maybe one was 'meh' but the rest was someones dirty laundry and pocket change for the machine.

I had no idea I could manually dig. I suppose that's good to know. And would have saved me alot of headache.
