Unintentionally broken gear combo's (unusable broken)
I am just making this discussion for the sole purpose of spreading awareness of gear that doesn't work together even though they should.

The cap of curing found in the druids grove provides 1d6 healing on a bardic inspiration.

the whispering promise (ring that provides aid on heal),

hellrider's pride (gloves that provide basic weapon protections on heal),

and the boots of aid and comfort (boots that provide 3 temp hp on heal)

do not function with the caps healing mechanic.

throwing or drinking healing potions will trigger all of these except the cap of curing however.

Potent robe, saying adding cha to cantrip what it doesn't tell you that it count recasting spell, like call lightning as cantrip

There are boots that apply reverberation when you apply a condition to an enemy and a ring that applies daze if you do thunder damage to an enemy with reverberation, so any character with two attacks can inflict daze by grabbing a thunder weapon and any item or ability that applies a condition...only almost none of them work. The boots don't seem to trigger for any other item.

Going in the other direction that staff that lets you capture souls and spend them to cast necromancy spells without expending a spell slot doesn't actually reduce your soul count when you use it, so as long as you get one kill you can cast a 6th level necromancy spell every action until your next long rest.
