Level range for Moonrise Tower
When should I head into the elevator? I'm level 6 right now, about halfway to level 7. Would I be under-leveled if I move onto the next part of the story?

It depends, better to have level 7-8 to buy scrolls of summons, cloudkill and best healing potions, because you will fight skeleton and very powerful githyanki after going to act 3.

Probably. I was 9 when entering Baldur's Gate. Many NPCs there are level 8, the guards are 11, so I assume that level 8 is the bar.
