It's quite easy to kill him by just shoving him down, you lose the loot but he does not have anything worth while, and you have to fight shadow heart after him so I recommend just shove him down the edge.

I didn't have to fight Shadoheart. But that's one of the things I love about this game, there's so many possibilities. lol. I'm definitely playing few a through times. I don't even have Gale this play through. hahaha.

You could not post spoilers. But since you did. You don't "have to" fight shadowheart. There's so many outcomes in that quest. In fact, if you do have to fight her you honestly kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Unless roleplaying as a screwup was the goal. Then super.

Fairly average fight, may want to check your team composition or builds. Try 2 support and to melee that should face roll it for you.

due to the position your team starts in , right at the edge of the platform , it can go very badly very quickly if approached normally. like most of the boss fights in this game its pretty poorly designed. i approached him using stealth , so instead of triggering his monologue the moment your group lands on his platform , i was able to get into a better position where my team couldnt just be kicked straight off into the abyss. wasnt that difficult after that.

Sounds like I need to do this fight on my next playthrough, I killed him in one turn before he got any action off in his room.. sadly I tried to get the bell from him then use it on him, and that doesn't work sadly. His brother isn't that dumb lol.

tactician. he cast 1 spell (that missed me) and he was dead... cleaning up the skellies was a non issue.

went same as pretty much all the boss encounters.

needs to be harder.

I killed the guy in one turn, by Lae'zel. And my main character did not even have a chance to participate, and neither did balthazar, it was over before it started. He literally did not see what hit him... The easiest fight in the whole game, lmao.

My party hid on the cliff above while Balthasar was talking to nightsong. Then Lae-zel jumped right behind him, followed by, I think Astarion with his bow? I honestly don't even remember, the guy was dead before the end of the first turn.

edit: I got the bell but never used it. I am in chapter 3, can I still use it (and the horn from act 1) in Baldur's Gate? I don't think I can but I haven't tried so maybe I can? i just keep forgetting about scrolls, potions and items. I have a ton of stuff, including rare potions, that I never use.
