Gale question

Is it mandatory for me to give Pale magical items? What happens if I don't?

Im not sure but he stops asking for them in act 2 (it was immediately after entering act 2 for me, at least). You can also go back to the act 1 area, unlike in DOS2

He doesn't eat that many. Three or four, and must of magical items are garbage.

He stops eating them after a point and it isn't hard to find things that don't suit your comp or just are too situational for use.

It's a mild currency cost in the scheme of things.

So should I leave him at camp until Act 2 so he doesn't ask for items?

I encountered a wizard on the road far to the north in act1, past the gith patrol.. he's a messenger from mystra, and makes it so Gale doesn't need to eat magic items anymore

He will still ask for them at camp. I'm doing a run with him being left in camp and he's still asking for them.

But it is NOT a big deal. I'm nowhere near the end of Act 1 yet and I already have enough junk magic items I'm not gonna use to give him.

And he only ever asks for three. Then he doesn't ask for anymore.

Give him 3 sh*tty magical item you find, if you can't find it steal it with your rogue. After 3 magic items drain he won't ask anymore until he stabilized
