Will militant D&D players review bomb BG3
Or do you think that ship sailed and the only real post release issues we may face is performance related?

why would people who play D&D review bomb bg3? they of all people understand the power of homebrew.

Probably performance, and if these forums are any indication, accusations of being "woke".

You can count on it, unfortunately. We old people get very set in our ways and really hate change on a deep psychological level. There will also be review bombs because of other issues but definitely this one too.

Most probably don't really care enough to bother and just want to play a good D&D-based video game.

But there will always be grognards, I suppose.

Some idiotic purists might, but I imagine those people will be in the minority considering how much praise and acclaim the game has garnered in the last few weeks alone.

D&D players usually end up involving the most lewd and grotesque things into their campaigns, or at-least they try. I can't imagine the amount of times I've heard or participated in a campaign that mentioned 'male private parts' at least once per session.

People like to be silly in D&D.

Well, in life, inevitably there is always some ♥♥♥♥, so probably.

Militant 5e purists?

5e is a simplified ruleset anyway -- the big battles were over 3rd edition and Pathfinder. I feel like anyone who calls themselves a fan of 5e in particular is going to of necessity prefer a more relaxed approach.

Of course it's the internet -- someone's going to find a reason to be mad about something.

Too bad this isn't "a good D&D-based video game".

Militant DnD players love this game.
Foolswalkin Jul 25, 2023 @ 12:09pm
It will likely be review bombed, but not by DnD players.

Except that one guy who decided to give it a negative review for not going to level 14.

militant doesn't really mean much in this context, you mean purist if that is your example.

and in which case: they probably wont care cause its not the P&P anyway.

plus they have no real ground to stand on anyway: wizzy coast changes the rules per adventure path at times anyway.
