Can I solo it?
I am not fan of playing games like this in multiplayer mode.
Is it feasible to play the whole game in single player mode? I am excited.

This is fundamentally a single-player experience, that happens to have a co-op mode. It's not some sort of Diablo 4 mandatory online situation.

Yes, of course. You can still have a full party, all controlled by yours truly.

Really?

It plays the same single player or coop, it's 4 party members and if you play coop some of those 4 party members are real players instead. That's it, that is the coop it is no easier or harder, coop might be harder if you chose a poor cohesive team.

Unless it's a time thing which some of my friends find it hard to coop because there is like 1 day a week we all have off but then you play it single player and on those days we take it slow if we get the chance we play games. No reason to rush it the game will keep existing lol

the game is single player unless you add more players

BG3 is essentially a single player game first, a multiplayer game second.

'Solo' typically means using only a single character with no companions around here.

Multiplayer is an afterthought, not the core of the experience. If by 'soloing' it you mean 'finishing the game with a full party controlled entirely by me' well yes, obviously. If you mean soloing as in 'controlling only a single character from start to finish', that sound much, much more difficult to pull of.

if dark urge gets a special skill tree or something on top of its insane dialogue options it would be a good way to go

Didn't they talk about becoming all powerful by pursuing the parasite powers by the end? Lone wolf sounds like a path you could take, especially for evil playthroughs.

Thanks guys. I feel much, much calmer now.

It's a single player game first and foremost. Coop is just optional for those who prefer it. And they will be missing out on a TON of stuff because every additional player means 1 less party member with their storylines, reactions and company. Also less aqency over where the game goes and what happens, since it won't be just your decisions that count.

I'm happy for those who are into that sort of stuff ofc, but while I love and regularly play many coop games and I love RPG's and have been playing PnP since I was a child, I don't think I would ever play a game like this together with someone. Maybe your SO but friends? No way. From romances to the choices you choose and the way you play, it's a deeply personal experience for me. Not to mention I've basically never met people where our playstyles mix. From BG2 back in the day to MMO's to others, what always happens is that someone is always on a break and someone else needs to stop for 5 minutes ever 10 minutes to read every book they just found in a room while another spend 30 minutes pondering about what to do with their next level. Always a huge hassle about where to go next, people never agreeing on what to choose in the story etc.

Even in SWTOR doing dungeons I would constantly run into people who started ordering new players to force them to skip cinematics they had never seen, or told them to pick certain choices in dialogue that would go completely against their character. Every time I'd have to jump in and say to play exactly as they want and if someone else can't handle it then don't play with randoms.

But yeah anyway. xD

tldr; It's a single player game. Barring enjoying the company of others, playing on your own will absolutely be the better experience.
Yes, should be possible with 1 character, but it is going to be very, very hard....
and yes you can play 4 character alone
