My point is that nobody have 10 on every stat.. so avarage ends up closer to 8-10 in most cases, with an 11.. 8 is perfectly well within the avarage person. (because the avarage person is not avarage in all aspects and often still don´t excel in anything)
I understand your point statswise, but from a realistic avarage farmer that really is not the case. Hence my argument on "spectrum"

I don´t use that when I DM. Then again.. I reckon my games are abit more homebrew.
10 in every stats is too generic and weird in my opinion.
