Is there seriously still no way to speed up/skip enemy turns?
Turn based combat already takes way too long compared to RTWP, why cant they let us skip the enemy's turns?

Everyone is making fun of you, but Larian did say they would speed up combat because it was too slow. Accidentally pulled the whole courtyard once and the fight lasted almost the whole movie. I haven't played in quite some time though, so I don't know how Larian addressed it.

They joy's of TB, I don't understand why they made it less functioning in comparison to DOS2, every other bad aspect they brought forwards to BG3 but the fluid combat that was DOS2 was yanked down to less functioning, why why.

All im asking for is a fast forward button or skip if it's too hard to code. I can look at the combat log or status effects on my character to figure out what happened. I dont really mind turn based as long as I'm not held hostage by the game by spammed enemies I have to watch. The fight with the oil slugs in DOS2 straight up took 45 minutes it was so annoying

Cos watching enemies do weird ass dash animation when trying to get into range over and over and do nothing all day long is fun? :)

(that dash animation will be the first thing i mod out and turn it into a 1 frame animation.)

Fast forwarding time so you don't understand all the damage you just took or why you died isn't really QOL, this isn't fire emblem either where you can full heal on your turn, and also it's all your turns then all their turns or something crazy so it doesn't make sense to just skip combat turns the way initiative works.

Honestly the system is fine as it is, why do so many people wanna skip thru the information gathering process? It's important to find out the priority targets for your strategy.

Show it like how civ 5 shows it. Move the enemy, show a damage number, onto the next enemy, repeat.
Alt tabbing and waiting 5 minutes through the ai... thinking.... thinking.... thinking... then moving... attacking.... moving....
its tedious and extremely unfun
Ai thinking? Sure, I'm fine with that.
I have to manually skip every movement animation by pressing space? I'll accept that.
What they have now, sucks.
if you like it, cool, I dont

Why wouldn't ppl want to speed up enemy turns? They can still consult the record to see what happened in between if it is pertinent. Which it usually isn't.

I don't know why people are acting like this would be a unique RPG feature if they allowed you to speed up enemy turns. This is actually a pretty common feature in many turn based games, including but not limited to, similar party-based CRPGs.

So skip turns so you can waste time reading about it? Odd request lol

This could theoretically work but I imagine it isn't as simple to code as you make it sound because the game wasn't designed to function like that. At that point though your just removing attack animations, but again this is a feature in a game like fire emblem where each fight is a cuscene rather and you skip the scene part, where BG3 has to render out all of that stuff.
Probably not impossible but I can't imagine a small undertaking at this point to throw in.

Be like me. Don’t buy this game.
Some people like watching drawn out animations and sit there watching silently as their enemy makes moves unimpeded. Bit like xcom fans. They love watching 1 guy take 30 seconds to move and then fire 5 bullets which may or may not hit.

Me?
Too impatient.
Waaay uninterested in this style of game.
Imagine standing there facing an attacker and then magic dice are rolled and they get to hit you in the face with a baseball bat but you, you have to stand there and take it like the champion you are. POW, right in the mouth, teeth all smashed to smitheries, jaw hanging off your skull, still standing tho. Then it’s your turn and you get to punch them with your “gloves of accuracy” and then still miraculously miss because the dice said so.
