How is bard? Any good guides or tips?
I’ve never ever played a bard in any DND game. So upon launch I’d like to make one.

Any guides or tips? Best party makeup with a bard? Maybe a Paladin, Gale and Will? Or Shadowheart / Gale and the Fighter? Sorry forgot her name.

Bard work well with martial classes. + warlock. Their extra short rest is handy .

There are some guides but only to level 5 so its kinda pointless. THey are full spell caster with martial potential and very good support and more than decent damage . Also face of the group make them good skill monkeys with their + to skills.

Thanks for the replies! I’ll check that vid out after work.

I’m going to name my bard Dandelion. 100% original, yes I know :steammocking:

So, lore bard is considered one of if not the best class in the game.

STRONGLY recommend.

They get cutting words, which is just nearly game breakingly OP. And they steal spells from other classes, so they can really mold into whatever you need.

Need more blast in your party? Steal fireball. Need heals? Steal Aura of Vitality from Paladin. Need support? Steal buffs like Holy weapon or whatever.

Lore is for sure BiS.

I played a lore bard on table top and when the DM learned the specifics of how cutting words worked in game he asked me if I could change classes 😂

Wow that is interesting! Do they steal upon cast? Or by picking a spell upon level up?

The second one.

All bards do it at level 10, Lore bards also do it at level 6.

They get a feature called magical secrets that basically says, go pick spells from any spell class you want. You get them from now on.

It’s balls deep awesome.

So like, paladins get a spell to summon a mount. Only paladins can get it.

Except for lore bards can too

Also the respec feature means we are not stuck with the same spells the entire game :D ezpz

So like say you want more offensive options like a blaster?

Go steal fireball and Eldritch blast. Boom, you’re a fully kitted blaster who ALSO gets bardic inspiration AND cutting words for bonus actions AND has some healing AND has skills like a rogue…

♥♥♥♥. I actually hadn’t thought of that. The respec feature will specifically favor bards extra getting to trial new spell steal options…
