Playable on 46 inch tv (3 meters afar) ?
So I'm kinda interested in this game since I'm looking for something with meat on it's bones.
However since the xbox version is delayed and rumour goes that the consoles are getting a graphical downgrade I'm thinking about buying it on pc. However I don't like to sit at the desk all the time (currently have a knee issue). So I'd like to know whether the UI is doable 3 meters away on a 46 inch tv?

The UI you can learn what the shapes mean.

The reading tho. Depends on your eyes, I guess?

hmmmm
well im about 6"0 and my chair is a recliner. so i can stretch out and prop my feet up on the desk if i want, and i still have a couple feet before my feet would reach the screen. so, i guess my eyes would be somewhere between 6-8 feet away from the screen.

granted my monitor is 60 inches or something like that. and i dont have any problems.

i dont like messing with resolution because i always mess it up but cant you just adjust the resolution to make everything bigger if you're struggling to read these tiny icons?

I'm doing this, and I know where the OP is coming from.
Tiny characters are unreadable 3 m afar ...

I have my PC connected to a TV in another room. Granted it's not 3m away from the sofa in my case but yeah why not. Options are good. Play on PC with m+k and PC monitor or or on a nice OLED with gamepad.

PC UI isn't meant to be seen 3m away. 🤷
That's why UI for gamepad might be different. Or UI might be scalable. Also entirely depends on TV size.

Crazy idea.
Find a screenshot or stream a Panel from Hell video with gameplay on your TV and see if you can read it.
Best way for you to tell yourself

ugly idea to play such a game this way. in a racing game it makes sense in my eyes, but not in baldur's gate. maybe you should invest in a steam deck.

Exactly, this is the whole point ! My screen is 2 m diagonal size, so if UI scales, it works, if not, too bad.
Whole point of OP, I think...

Gaming chair with extendable leg rest that reclines to 150º, Azeron Gamepad, lap tray for the pad+kb+m. No need for TV if I want to stretch or recline.
Nice. But no 65" OLED though ;)
