Each race / class has something unique to them.
Anyway, what you're looking for is Bard.
2 rogue for expertise and bard gives u jack of all trades.
so not true . bards do well in combat
To be fair even failing social skill checks is experiencing the story.
A mix of Lore skills is needed for all the background info, religions and nature checks for other sections.
With the ability to respec you companions it would be worthwhile getting all the skills with someone in your main party.
I also suspect some people will absolutely despise Asterion in which case doubly Bard with a Bard on top (or a Rogue I guess if you must).
Also they are fullcaster, so they get better buffs for those checks, and can use them more often
Bard... is a full caster and that's just for a start. WDYM do everything Bard can?
Then sure.
A Bard who focuses on utility/CC etc can control the battlefield. With good initiative it can keep enemy disabled. That's not even taking Inspiration and such into account. It can also competently replace a Cleric if you don't want to have one in your party, you don't necessarily need many healing spells anyway.
