Does Vengeance Paladin know mercy?
Is the vengeance paladin focused purely around punishing or does he punish even the slightest grievances?

For example when Kagha wants to kill Arabella (tiefling kid) would a vengeance paladin do anything to prevent her death? Or would he actually take Kagha's side and allow the Snake to kill the kiddo?

Basically - is vengeance paladin capable of showing mercy in other ways than death?

A vengeance paladin would certainly try to prevent Kagha from killing the kid, by threatening her most likely. And if she did kill her, he would probably sentence her to death.

Vengeance Paladins are still protectors. But the way they administrate their justice is radical.

Fight the Greater Evil. Faced with a choice of fighting my sworn foes or combating a lesser evil, I choose the greater evil.

No Mercy for the Wicked. Ordinary foes might win my mercy, but my sworn enemies do not.

By Any Means Necessary. My qualms can't get in the way of exterminating my foes.

Restitution. If my foes wreak ruin on the world, it is because I failed to stop them. I must help those harmed by their misdeeds.

I think for your question, the second and 4th tenet are most important. Your sworn enemy will not win your mercy, but someone else that wronged you might. At the same time, I can totally see a vengeance paladin stepping in to stop kagha, I don't reallllllly see much reason for one to side with her.

So...if a Vengeance Paladin show mercy, and a Mercy Killer come....they will die. :lunar2019grinningpig:

Ok.

I am going vengeance paladin dark urge so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard now.

I was unsure at first, but being the sort guy with full plate who gives you a death stare and sentences you to death if you cause grievances or behave unjustly is my boi. I dont care how edgy that is.

And the inner conflict with the Dark Urge will be a cherry on top, possibly turning me into an anti-Hero oathbreaker.

Can 3rd August come sooner?

Also thanks so much for clarifying Im a pleb in DnD lore

I'm sure they can. The Punisher is kind of like a Vengeance Paladin. He has shown mercy to criminals in some instances.
