I'm sorry my man, but that just looks stupid.
I like the idea about the characters saying what gear they might like. They would have to have some sort of build preference in mind through. Perhaps thats something you could ask the companion and then get the option for that companion to pipe up about what gear they want.
Beautiful feminine open armor: "no, such armor is not able to protect in real life."
- The decaying west in all its glory. Thank God that Asia has not gone crazy yet.
At least the bear scene is meant to be a joke, these clothes only serve to sexualize the characters
Degenerates will mod in all sorts of stuff, don't you worry. You'll be able to get your hands on all the sexy armor you want within a few weeks of release, if not hours.
The objectification of women in media has been proven to lead to lead to more sexual harassment.
I am willing to go out on a limb here and say the bear scene will lead to exactly a 0% uplift in bear related sexual harassment.
To be fair if I am wrong this years Darwin awards are going to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing!
But if that bear scene did leave you "hungry" for some bear lov'in then please let us know.
I'm personally against the idea as well, but the guy is literally 100% right. It's pointless to err on the side of fantasy realism when the game takes itself as a joke and pushes that mould from the very beginning.
Saying "It's just a druid shape-shifting, it's just a joke and you can literally avoid the scene"
Is no different from saying "It's just armour, tons of games have armour like it, you can just not wear it."
In fact, I don't mind if it's an option ( like transmog in wow and etc. ), but I see no reason to have it in the game besides sexualizing the characters ( because let's face it, these clothes cited as an example in the post, only have this purpose).
Believe it or not, some people find clothing like that aesthetically appealing, even women themselves in real life often prefer to wear similarly revealing clothes, and it's not just because they like to stare at their own breasts.
Regardless, the fact of the matter is, that the clothing itself doesn't fit into the current Aesthetic of the game, at-least in relation to what we've already been given access to or shown. Wearing it would be no different to wearing a clown-suit to church. It matches none of the current art or level design at all.
