The Lich King
If I wanted to try to create The Lich King as my character - does anyone have ideas on how to roll the character?
Initially a oath breaking paladin seems pretty good as starting point.
But do you multi class to gain more necrotic spells? etc?
Ideas?

Oathbreaker Paladin or Eldritch Knight Fighter prolly.

Oathbreaker get some Nercomancer spells of it's own eventually iirc, but you might wanna go for a Cleric early levels to get access to them sooner. With the full class respec thing in the game you can always change to Pala around lv 9 and keep the Necro spell.

Necromancer Wizard and Oathbreaker Paladin multiclass perhaps?

^ this might be the best option, Wizard/Paladin can work well.

The only issue is the "voices talking to you" thing which is sorta warlock-like, but that would be a whole process to even make that work. Idk if you even could at the top of my head.

I don't think that will be a problem at all. I think dark urge could be used as a substitute for that.

I was considering multi class of oathbreaker paladin with something - either cleric (they seem to have a lot of the necrotic spells that are Lich King like) but wizard has a few too or even warlock as although oathbreaker seems to get some necro spells , I'm not sure it gets enough so think need to dip into cleric or wizard or warlock. I was thinking going cleric first then into paladin/oathbreaker, but the lore of Arthas was that he was a full paladin so maybe I just go all oathbreaker? Not sure.

Death cleric.

Oathbreaker Paladin fits this pretty perfectly. I don't think the multiclass into wizardry or similar is necessary. Let's not forget that Arthas is/was a very high level character. You're not going to have a perfect array of Lich King features in tier 1 gameplay, but you can get them later.

Alternatively, consider some manner of Bladelock with the Moderately Armored feat. Hexblade would, of course, fit even better if it were in the game.

not sure which lich king your talking about but oathbreaker paladin seems to fit the best

Which Lich King are *you* talking about? There's more than one?

Now we just need armor pieces that looks like what Arthas uses in Warcraft, or similar in other games. I desperately need an 'undead' style armor. Plate or whatever, nice, but skull motif and so on.

Liches are Wizards.

Become Arthas. Be an Oathbreaker Paladin. Raise the undead.

You can multi-class Necromancer-focused sorcerer if you want to stack some Charisma benefits. Sorlock is a very popular build.
