When can I play the FULL game

I bought the beta/access thing 2-3 years ago, played 2 hours, then decided to just wait it out. In my head what will happen is on August 3rd I'll download a huge patch and then I'm playing the FULL/WHOLE thing. . .correct? Sorry for the dumb question, I am dumb

Yes, the full release is 3rd August.

On Aug 3rd you'll most likely have to download the full game in it's entirety, not a patch but the whole game. None of your saves or the like from EA will work and you'll have to start out fresh.

I sent a message to Larian and I was told it was better to install the game as a whole on release (I was told they didnt know when there will be pre-load) then download it now.

Correct. August 3rd is the official release day and we'll be getting the full game.

Imma need to see a SC of that.

It makes sense to do a clean install. Sometimes leftover files not caught by the installer from previous versions can cause issues. Especially if you used mods.

Yep, happend to me. My friend and I played the cracked version and then I tried to play a Steam version and it crashed when launch and other errors. So then I delited all the Larian and BG3 files to do a clean download and it works perfictly fine now.

Thank you for your support, due to the amount of files that will have changed since Early Access, I think it may be best to wait and do a clean install of the game at launch.

Unfortunately there has been no announcement about a preload period.
Keep an eye on our socials for any future updates.

The download becomes available in the late evening of next week Thursday for most people (August 3rd).

Screen capture, was just trying to confirm you weren't trolling and making people uninstall, to increase how much they have to download
