Characters seem blurred?
Why are the characters a bit blurred in the game? They arent sharp like the rest of the surroundings?

The bear did it.

Could be the anti-aliasing, check if you don't have TAA enabled. If you do, change it to SMAA.

Or DLAA

I don't have DLAA. I have SMAA on I think I picked the highest level. But the surroundings aren't blurred just the characters. They look fine in the close up interactions its just when they are walking around. I will have to mess around with the settings a bit but everything is on high.

I am also getting a bit of stuttering as I rotate the camera. Hopefully all this is just related to old EA visuals.

Problem is now I've bought it in EA I am getting close to my 2 hr window and I dont know whether to risk it and keep it or refund.

Some screenshots would be helpful, of both the game and your graphics settings.

What settings are you using? do you use DLSS? what resolution?

I have put it up to ultra and it looks a lot better now - I was on high settings before and TAA.

But now I notice I am getting a lot of stuttering when rotating the camera etc. Bloody strange as I am well over the requirements for this game.

Are you using Vulkan?
What is your setup? what is your resolution?

You can cap your FPS btw.

Is it maybe the sharpness slider? Perhaps it is set too low?
Nats Jul 22, 2023 @ 1:42pm
Oh thank god Ive got rid of it. It was that vsync was turned off. Once I enabled vsync and turned on tripple buffering with 60 fps cap its all smooth. Thank god for that.

So now playing on ultra and it looks nice as well - no blurred characters any more. Turning off the Post Processing Sharpening and turning on the Contrast Adaptive Sharpening instead has made it look much better.

Just because I'm standing here with a pack full of blur spell scrolls doesn't mean...ok, you got me.

I'm having the same issues.

Would you mind sharing with me your options in game?

I tried every thing but couldn't get rid of till now.

I put it all on Ultra generally, turned on Vsync, set it to triple buffering, capped the frame rate to 60 fps, turned on TAA antialiasing, turned off Post Processing sharpening and turned on CAS sharpening instead. Its on Vulcan rendering.
