Has there been any announcements of deities

I know you can pick Shar or Salune in EA. Will you be able to pick Yondalla as a halfling? What about more rare choices like playing a Drow cleric of Eilistraee? If you play a cleric of Eilistraee would you get a long sword proficiency? I'm just wondering how diverse the options will be for clerics.

I have a feeling gods in this game won't be as diverse as gods in the forgotten realms can get, unfortunately.

there are a lot more options than just Shar and Selune in EA, cant remember if Yondalla is in there tho, as a Seladrine Drow you can be a cleric of whatever you want, as a Llolth-sworn you are, well, Llolth Sworn

You can choose to be an Acolyte.

Yeah, it'd be neat to have the ability to pick a patron god even if you're not a cleric. Lots of rangers that worship Silvanus, for instance. Hopefully that's in the full release as part of the character creation.

i just checked, EA includes Selune, Shar, Tempus, Tyr, Bane, Helm, Myrkul, Ilmater, Mystra, Oghma, Kelemvor, Bhaal, Moradin, Corellon Larethian, Garl Glittergold, Yondalla, Llolth, Tymora, Mielikki, Eilistraee, Lathander, Talos and Elon Musk, which i think is all of them

Thanks for the list but you clearly have not looked into the extent of Forgotten Realms religions. As for Musk he isn't a god yet. Like trump he is still just a cult leader.

That would be nice. If you can choose the acolyte background it would be nice to pick a deity.

Considering the NPC and the blessing in early access, a Cleric of Loviatar would hopefully be an option for full release.
