What level do Monk subclass

Hey

I just checked in my PHB and on Fextralife but can't seem to find at what level do Monks start subclassing?

I guess it is inside of them and they start subclassing directly level 1 because it is part of who they are, like sorcerers.

Level 3, like with a majority of the classes.

Edit: though I suppose with Paladin being moved to level 1, it'd be half of all classes in BG3.

Although Paladin was moved from 3 to 1 in EA so, as in all things, we’ll have to wait and see.

On level 3
Warlock, Priest, Sorcerer - level 1
Druid, Wizard - level 2
All other classes - level 3
