So I can change my junk, but not my face in a RPG ?

Why do they not allow us to make our own face like we want to, just because they think "Well the players make them look to similar anyway, but here is a slider for a rare skin condition and you junk and you can choose to be body type A,B,C or D or male and female with extra steps as you can't choos both options anyway"

This seems to be a holier-than-thou thing from the devs. My face means a hell of a lot more to me in a game than how many inches are in my virtual pants. So what that I don't have a art degree, I still want a person that looks like how I want them to look. This already means no sell for me, as I have never found a preset charator in a RPG that looked like me.

It really is a bizarre thing to not be able to use preset 5's nose with preset 3's ears with preset 2's cheeks and preset 4's chin at the very least. Makeup/scars/beards and skin/hair/eye color is pretty underwhelming might as well toggle helmets on.

It absolutely has sex scenes.

Also its not a slider, its a selector.

sex scenes that are mostly censored, it's not going to be hardcore sex scenes.

I do think this is a valid criticism, as insincere as it might be. Still, there are so many options as is that all but the most fringe tastes will be able to create something they like.

I believe they really wanted to make sure that the facial features really matched the expressions and speech and that's hard to do when you have a ♥♥♥♥ ton of potential faces to work with. Most of the NPCs also use these faces and Tav used to speak on camera, though they don't anymore.

Cyberpunk allowed you to customize your face and then you spent most of the game in first person and never saw it so I mean I'll give you the point for the criticism but ultimately I think it is small potatoes.

There is no sliders but you can choose presets, Scars, Tattoos, Piercings, age. That along with eye-color and skin color. And with the hairstyles still allow you to create pretty unique characters.

Not quiet. For example. If you have presets for noses - you can change between different available noses. If you have difference sliders for nose, you can sculpt your character nose in however way you want in limits of the slider, or off-limit with a bit of modding. Problem is there not even presets for parts of face, but for entire face. For example in CK2 (which is mainly strategy game) you have more freedom to sculpting you character face by choosing it's nose, eyes, chin, cheeks, hair, etc from available presets, and from my expirience in both game, i could sculpt more attractive face for my character in CK2 than in BG3.
