We will need to see all forms available to moon druid on release to fully judge him.
swen did mention dinos tho.
RAW, they indeed wouldn't work, but larian has the right to homebrew as they please :>
-----------------------------
nvm. found it. thought it was some kind of an interview
Larian has reduced the early level power of the wildshapes, I wonder if they have done some work on balancing them for later game too.
A lot of the wild shape utility is lost in a video game, so I'd guess they have balanced this by boosting combat power at later levels.
No evidence though pure guess work.
Moondruid is fine. The Wildshape itself will spike in power as people said and then fall off. Until next spike. This said they are never useless. There are many sitations both inside and outside combat that certain forms will be useful. And don't forget you are also a spellcaster. You don't need to be in wildshape 100% of the time.
No, no it isnt,
Link it.
A class that needs very little gear if any.
It is a tier 1 class.
Moon druid get better wildshapes and use wildshape as a bonus action rather then an action.
They are great at first and remain good.
From my understand it goes like this:
Druids are master of the early game then balance out.
Wizards are master of the late game but have early game hell.
Clerics are gods at every level.
