Larian has already announced a really long time ago that it will be turn-based and turn-based only.
Having a speed up button is also such a thing and to speed up combat, specially when there are a lot of mobs
WHats makes you think I care about other games. I have idd played other games with + speed tho and never felt it was nesessary. Not to mention dos games didnt have it. You could use a mod for it tho im sure people will "fix" it for you.
They allready implemented that on mobs to move at the same time when its their turn. maybe theyll do + speed later if the demand is high.
Yeah you can get to act 2 without fighting a single mob. well actually u still need to do the suprise battle at the druid grove but yeah.
If I'm gonna be sincere and not dunk on you like everyone is for some reason? I play pathfinder with all that animation speed ♥♥♥♥ cranked up to maximum but this is the only turn-based cRPG I've played where stuff seems to happen too quickly for me.
Maybe it's because of the really zippy camera that's zoomed too far in but I'd feel absolutely lost if it was any quicker, especially with stuff like shoving to consider.
A good amount of care has already been taken in the timing/speed of animations, and the AI makes their decisions quickly. Something like Solasta was way too damn slow even with the speedup function but I haven't felt that at all in BG3. I think that cinematic cutscenes are a stupid waste of time but the animation team did a good job not sniffing their own farts when it comes to combat
The goblin base is prolly 1 of the largest encounters. What i tend to do I thin their numbers with stealth and poison them . THen all of a sudden the numbers become alot less. Alot of the mobs can be dealth with stealth kills as if playing assassins creed or something :p
