Is it just me
Or is it fun watching the bible thumpers get all bent out of shape because there is sex in a role playing game. The violence is fine, No problem with the option to play a serial killer, but god forbid sex is included in the game. Even worse a joke with gay sex. It must be driving them nuts that with all their complaints BG3 is one of the best selling games on steam.

This. If you tolerate the intolerant, they just become more dangerous.

I love steam as a platform, I think they do so much fantastic stuff, and have saved me from so much headache

But I sure wouldn't mind this kinda stuff being shut down a bit faster.

Steam will actually ban you for calling out the people doing this stuff faster than they'll shut down hate speech.

Indeed. I know this firsthand.

I could tell a story, but I'd just get banned. I would like to say though that when I reached out to Steam support they told me that hate speech was "objectionable but not in violation of the TOS" which is wiiiiiild to me.

I'm not a fan of all the hate they are spreading but it looks like they are losing the battle for hearts and minds as the game keeps selling and selling.

The BG3 reddit threads are like a whole other world. Most people are pretty laid back and just chilling, answering questions, and posting funny memes.

Here it's like Nurgle unleashed a plaguebomb every other month.

Honestly, it might be a bit of a miracle that I avoided the hammer thusfar. I mean, I never called people names (other than a bit dense on one occasion), but I still argued a decent bit, and was quite snarky when dealing with those folks.

For the record, the "what do you mean by 'woke'?" response is apparently bannable. I ate a ban for that last week.

That's really weird because I'm pretty sure saying any kind of slur or racist/antisemitic stuff is usually an instant ban in any other situation.

I got the hammer here... twice?

Hey now if it was Nurgle everyone would be happy and it'd be wholesome.

I'd hang out there more often, but with all the screenshots, I found it kinda spoiler-heavy. I cut my EA playtime relatively short compared to some here.

I sold mine to be a Warlock years ago. Part of the deal was a video game with a hunky druid hooking up with a dead elf.
