Report a translation problem
- half-orc gets an extra crit damage dice
- Barbarian gets an extra crit damage dice at level 9 (stacks with the above)
- Fighter chooses Champion at level 3, gets crits on 19-20 instead of 20
- during Frenzy, the Berserker has advantage on all attack rolls, combined with the above you'll get more crits than any other class
Now use a greataxe (with maybe Great Weapon fighting style from fighter to reroll 1 and 2 to damage rolls) for 4d12 criticals, 3 apr.
It does, but it only fully comes together at the very endgame, and starts working well around level 8. Not a problem, just worth noting.
Also two level fighter dip is fairly good on barbs for action surge.
Now add in Great Weapon Mastery
honestly, the bonus action possibility isn't the important part of great weapon master. Its the +10 damage per attack. Worth considering replacing an ASI with.
I’m saying bard again, not barb. Was mostly just hyping for my favorite class.
But for real, straight Lore Bard, Lore Bard with 2 levels of Warlock, and Sword Bard with 2 levels of Paladin are all amazing.
But now back to the Barb show.
I'm thinking of trying bard as well. But yeah, back to barbarian! Maybe raging in-game with lower the irl raging haha
Ha! This is a fun game we have discovered!
So you know, there is a first level spell in D&D that Larian might (probably not, but might) implement called “Silvery Barbs.” Those barbs are the hooked pointy kind, not the rageful warrior kind. However, along with wizard and sorcerer the third spellcaster class with access to it is bard. So if you cast it on someone, they are suffering from bard barbs.
E: oh, and what the spell does is debuff one creature to buff another. So if you buff an allied barbarian with it as the second part of the spell they are a bard-barbed barb.
Happy reading!
