Aug 3, there is no 72 hour early access anymore.

It is August 3, 2023, not October 6, 2020.

The 72 hour early access was swallowed up by the release date being moved up 28 days.

It doesn't. They would have had a 3 day early download if they released on their original September schedule. They are now shipping for Steam 30 days early (Aug 3), so there is no additional 3 days / 72 hours thing.

October 6th 2020 is when Baldur's Gate 3 released as Early Access, August 3rd is when the full game launches. 72 hour access is only for console now since PC version's release was pushed forward from August 31st to August 3rd.

In their defense, the sticky still only says the game is releasing on Aug 28th.
