ENOUGH :D
*Mods+Quests from Players and so on...enough :)
I read that it's already confirmed that the actual game is - I'm not kidding - like 80-90GB (far better data compressing I'd wager). They only advice 150GB for technical purposes.
I thought of 250GB or something.
Data compression can be very effective.
The new Zelda game is like 14GB or something like that. We've just gotten used to developers not even trying and shi**ing out 150GB CODs and stuff like that.
I would believe that because Valhalla was compressed considerably. It went from 77GB to 34GB overnight. And that's after the game had already been out for a year, which was really strange, but a welcome sight considering the increasing size of games.
However, shrinking a game by a third of its size is a commendable feat. I don't think Larian is capable of pulling off what Ubisoft did. Not to that extreme.
IF 80-90GB is true, I'd still bank on the higher end of it.
I don't see how they can go from 80GB now, to adding 3/4 of what is missing, plus 33% more in Act I, to having an outcome of 80GB.
We shall see in a few days.
We will but I honestly believe they can do it (wouldn't be the most surprising feat of BG3 by a longshot).
Hah, I still remember when Blizzard released their first console game with D3 on PS4 and it was over 100GB+ because of poor compression. :-D (not shaming Blizzard here, this was totally new for them and the game ran really well)
Well look at Starfield, it takes also that much space and has less cinematics.
Video compression is not easy, without getting artifacts.
I look back on those days and laugh like I'm in a padded cell.
Wow ... that is ... actually I don't know what to say to that :-D Are they serious? That'd be a reason for me to instantly doubt their programming skills and never play the game.
