it might also be because of the new patch, that also improved performance.
before the driver update and patch i would get frame drops quite alot on ultra settings, sometimes as low as 40-50 FPS, but now with the driver and patch it never drops below 60 anymore. game crashes on on Vulkan for me so i only use DX11.
my specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor, 3.80 GHz
GPU: GeForce RTX 3060 Ti
Motherboard: MSI MPG B550 Gaming Edge
RAM: 16GB
Windows 10
I have fps limit of 120 thus 4090 is not working at max.
Yeah I will update, cause my game is stable but drops frame to 45-50 sometimes on rtx 3070
goodluck brother.
goodluck.
EDIT: I'll leave this here - but I am wrong. All I had to do was edit individual game setting to prefer maximum performance (nvidia control panel) and now I'm back to where I was yesterday.
so maybe try it ?
personally i think that's really just a lazy way for developers to optimize their game. DLSS should not be some developers should rely on. but instead something that's a bonus or to help struggling systems.
