Looks like it's the DX bug you get
a DirectX error?
(c:/Programmex86/steam/steamapps/common/Baldur's Gate 3/bin)
Start the BG3_DX11 (exe) instead of the others and see
if it's better then
Always cleanly uninstall graphics card drivers.
Recently I had the problem with the DirectX error
and get it after a totally freshly put on
Win10 system, with only one game - BG3.
GK - RX 590 (Sapphire Edition) 8GB DDR5
The rest is:
Ryzen 7 3800X, Samsung 980Pro (2Tbyte), 32Gbyte DDR4
If I take the BG3_DX11 mentioned above to start, it runs wonderfully.
If that doesn't help you, turn on the graphics settings
a few things (Bloom, etc.) Experiment a bit.
Good luck.
The music keeps playing, but everything else is unresponsive. The only way to get out of that state is doing a hard shut down
