Ramaziths Tower A.K.A Sorcerous Sundries

Hi so as the title says I am on the Ramaziths map top floor, and I am fighting the wizard who wants to turn Dame Shadowsong into his battery of eternal life. The problem I am facing is one of his darn drones fell down to the second floor. Where the staff & Robes are. So my question how do you get the magical field protecting it from my spells to go away. Every attempt to use the "Weave buttons" results in an auto kill 4 to 1 no combat order nothing just high tech magical cannon death. Anything would be welcomed in terms of solutions.
