Again, literally what i just said
Holy ♥♥♥♥ you guys are dense, if this talk is going to be more about reading comprehension than the actual topic - not surprising on steam mind you - then i'm just not going to bother with you
The main problem with having an inherent D&D system in a video game is that there reasonably can't be as numerous an amount of outcomes. Killing a group of bandits in the forest via martial interactions and going about your business, or killing them via a wizard's fireball and causing a giant forest fire doesn't happen reasonably here, because the game doesn't necessarily have the capacity to have that level of contingency. Minor Illusion is a spell that has a LOT of useage in an actual D&D setting, but in BG3, I've tried time and time again to utilize it as a proper distraction, but the way the game's mechanics work just make it extremely unreliable when if used in the same exact situation at a real D&D table, my plans using it would have worked flawlessly.
Now, on the topic of savescumming, the game already has built-in ability to reroll for every character regardless via inspiration. Certainly there's a time and place for it, like succeeding a roll, dying a while ahead, and failing the very same roll when you have to reload to before you did it. It's all based on your perspective, really. If you don't like the idea of savescumming, don't do it, obviously, but I can see where some people would justify it if they just got into BG3 after playing Divinity, as Div is where Larian's creativity shines the brightest because it's not confined to the rules of a pre-established system that, in the concept of a Tabletop-to-videogame transfer in such a capacity as this, would hamper the creative process in some ways, I'd say.
It's illegal, I've dispatched the police to your home.
Looks like your game was doing you a solid. Save you a headache right there.
It does seem like your logic is non-existent so beware aiming to throw stones you're not god at it. Yes you autofail on a 1 just like you auto succeed on a 20. The reason you should autopass with enough bonus is because that exceptional bonus means the task is something so mundane to you it's like basic math. If someone were to give you a math problem 1+1 you're never going to fail that question unless you have decreased your bonuses sufficiently like on drugs and even then some of us have a high enough bonus to where even drugs would not disable our faculties of reason to such an extent.
