Named my PC wrong ;_; can I change that?

Well like I said: I started the game, named my PC Astarion and FOUND OUT ANOTHER CHARACTER HAS THE SAME NAME xD

Is there a way to change that name ? Maybe via console ?

The game doesn't have a console. You can't even change it at the class changing zombie in camp either. You're stuck with it as far as I know.

Out of curiosity how did you get the idea to name your pc Astarion? Did you come up with it, heard it from somewhere, combined names together? I find it absolutely hilarious how you ended up with the same name as the character Astarion - specifically with such a unique name such chances of happening are sooo low lol

If you click on the origins it names your Tav after the last one you picked. Someone had the same problem earlier. Named their PC Karlach

I named mine Lae'zel because that was the default name that it gave me. And then the first character you meet has te exact same name.

I ran into the same thing. Luckily, Lae'zel is the first one you bump into, so I restarted the game. Bit of an oversight on Larian's part on leaving the default name to one of the companion character names. I wasn't really paying attention to their names in the character select/customization screen.

I don't want to go through the process of making the character again, and I've already played through the intro. Hopefully the release a patch where you can change it, shouldn't be too hard.

I may have heard the name while watching a preview game or something like that ^^ I don't really know why but it just happened - it wasn't that bug the good people described, it was my damaged brain obviously ^^

oh comon, u found Astarion in 20-30 min of gameplay, just restart new one

I spent an hour in character creation. I rather not go through it again, especially when a name change is a very easy to implement QoL feature.

The same here. My wife created her char and named her with the default name. And then, tadaaa, hello Lae'zel.......... And you cannot know it when you create the character.
