PSA: You can change Origin Character Class at Withers
Title.

Spare yourself the Hireling - if you dont like how one of your companions is built, just go to withers as them and pay the 100 gold for a class change.
I hope this isnt a bug and stays in the game.

So if you dont like the Trickster Domain on Shadowheart and rather have her as a healer, you can change her to Life domain there.

Multiclass to Bard/Sorcerer/Warlock after lvl 5 for extra spell slots and spam Divine Smite. I find Warlock Blade is best, but that's just me.

I changed Astarion to a bard and Shadowheart do a different Cleric subclass.

This isn't a bug, this is an intended feature of the game.
Even if you don't intend to change there class, respec them. The way each companion is built is generally TERRIBLE! Reworking there stats will help by alot.

Might be, and I hope it is. I was curious because you cant change them on character creation.
