How would you build The Dark Urge
I myself went 3lvs into Barbarian, picked the subclass Berserker (For the peak bloodlust antics.) and rest in Monk for the more tranquil and the aspect of trying to suppress the urge to maim and kill.

I am currently doing a dark urge play through and am currently a level 5 oathbreaker paladin that is a female lolth sworn drow. No resisting urges, just murder, maim, flay etc

I went with the default white Dragonborn, looked badass. Funny how the starting class the game picks is a Sorcerer... maybe that implies something.

My wife made hers a sorcerer last night.

Paladin Vengeance --> Oathbreaker --> Evildoer

Slow progression from good to evil as you lose your mind to the urges.

I barely manage to keep Karlach in the party so far, but all the good I did at first is balancing out the evil.

I built a orc barbarian dark urge and it played really well. In fact I might go back to that game.

Neat, did she go with the Storm Sorcerer per chance? AKA the default the game gives.

I'm playing the Dark Urge as a Drow Oathbreaker Paladin 5/ Wild Magic Sorcerer 7 and it fits the narrative extremely well imho.

Bard college of swords Dark urge. Manipulate, charm, lure and lie his way into people's good graces, then pincushion them with 9 attacks at level 6 from his dual handcrossbows. Or just distract people with his lute while Astarion stabs their friends from the shadows.

I’m running Dark Urge as an Oath of Vengeance Paladin/Warlock. I have something to avenge, I’m just not sure what. I think there’s some fun RP in trying to direct my um….issue at the right problems and its fun to read the dialog options ranging from *cut this child’s legs so they drown* to *Do HERO TM stuff*

And when someone doesn’t like diplomacy, they get a face full of murder.
The only point in playing the Dark Urge is to give in to the Urge.

Kill everyone and everything the game lets you.

I started a Forest Gnome Fighter/Sorcerer Dark Urge, but I think I'm going to delete that game and make a White Dragonborn Bard/Sorcerer instead.

Bards are excellent solo classes because you can really cover all your bases with a lot of skill choices and Expertise, you are ok at melee, and a few levels in Sorcerer for metamagic just puts your spellcasting over the top. Not sure if I should go for Swords or Lore Bard, but I'll certainly take Storm Sorcerer (Wild Magic is fun, but not practical for a solo playthrough).

4 ranger for gloom ranger.
5 barbarian for rage, bear subclass and extra attack.
3 rogue for assassin.

Half orc for the extra die of crit damage.

He essentially slaughters whatever he wants the first round of combat then is an unstoppable murder machine after.

My dark urge half-orc is a monk (gonna try to resist the urges). I have the intention to multiclass paladin later on because I'm curious if acting without control breaks the oath or not.

Nah, given the big glowing Bhaal symbol under you when you start customizing it, feels like the point of it is to play a Bhaalspawn. Just like you did in BG 1&2. You can give in, you can fight it, you can do both. See who you are in the dark, as it were.

Can you show me how to do it from character creation?
I want to do it this way Exactly. I also want to romance minthara...
