Dual wielding Two handed weapons for barbarians
More of a idea for mod as there's no such option in 5e but it will be nice to have barbarians on berserker spec able to dual wielding two handed weapons with increase to their damage taken with some skills that based on momentum" a mechanic that increase dmg of next hits in a row and decrease hit chance, block and armor.
if any moder read this. Do that.

Ya, it's lacking currently. Because of that, there is no reason to Dual Wield on Barbarian.

That's the worst part of the game. Even barb icon presents two weapons

D&D 5th edition does not have any way to dual-wield two-handed weapons. Older versions of D&D as well as Pathfinder had a feat called "Monkey Grip" that allowed two-handed weapons to be wielded one-handed, therefore allowing dual wield.

Why? Rage gives flat damage not stats, you can make a DEX/CON barb and go to town with finesse weapons (which are mostly light anyway).

That's what i mentioned in post :p btw to the "Monkey Grip" Pathfinder games allows this? i mean PC games. The newest one i forgot how it's called.

It doesnt make any sense. Two handed weapon is two handed because of the reach of that particular weapon and also for more manuverability. With two hand your weapon can do more moves and it can reach father. And those weapons got desing to do that.

By putting that weapon in just one hand you will lose those advatages.

Its not conected to Strenght.

because dual wielding need bonus action to use second weapon and there's no other synergies. So you are lack of BA if you want to use it.

Nothing stops them from adding that feat or modifying the current one a little. They already toyed around with some DnD 5E skills and spells to better balance the game.

Anyway, if they don't do it, a mod will.

I don't know about Pathfinder: Kingmaker or Wrath of the Righteous; I think the first edition of Pathfinder tabletop had Monkey Grip; however I think the PC games are based on Pathfinder 2.0. I've played Kingmaker but never noticed if it had Monkey Grip.

That's for normal humans. Barbarians are strength monsters and really buff. Two handed weapons are like Longsword for them.

A mouse is not enough for a Maine C-o-o-n, it needs a rat haha

And break the balance of the game. What's the point of playing literally any other class if you can give yourself a way to dual-wield greatswords? Maybe make it so you can never sneak attack, since that is going to be the only reason to do this lol

Everything make sense in fantasy world with a character that is based on brute force and rage. Variety of builds and ways to play is always good for players. If you read my post you will know what's my idea about more DMG and less movement/hit chance and armor - all for the sake of immersion yourself in role of the 2HDW barbarian. it's not needed to say it's game based on D&D where you are creating by your imagination how you play the game.
