Report a translation problem
The story and writing is great the problem is doing a one-for-one 5e implementation into a video game. It doesn't work.
I had the same problem as I apparently bugged the "coronation" by murdering all of the guards in the 'corridor', armoury and barracks areas before leaving to do the rest of the missions (to blow up the steel watchers because it's basically unwinnable without that).
i did this i also pushed gortash of the castle and i cant find the body to loot it . he fell under the drawbridge at south wyrm's crossing.i cant find so i cant obtain the 3rd netherstone and proceed. i already try fly, dimension door , telekinisis, jump with featherfall but nothing works. any ideas?i had way big fight with steel watchers etc. so i don't want to load back previous saves in order to proceed.also after a few rests i think its just a pouch and not a body. any solution?
cast greater invisibility on your rogue and you can kill gortash without fighting any of his guards, id just reload and do that.
just stand behind him and keep sneak attacking him, ez
The enemies above aggro because they're apart of the fight, since you're now in the vicinity- The fortress is ofc now out to get you.
Whilst I agree this def could be handled better- It partially does have to do with them being on the 'same tile' as you so to speak and being literally like 20m above your character. Its not so much a bug, but how aggro functions and whatnot. If it proves to be a genuine issue, Larian will most likely fix it. Rather than immediately going into rage mode- How about just offering an actual constructive description of your problem in the future?
So clearly this wasn't an "over-reaction" and it was something Larian had to fix.
It is not how aggro works, it's just a buggy mess. The moment you destroy the Foundry the whole Keep bugs out and behaves totally abnormal. The moment you set foot in it and start the encounter it engages most of the first floor(but somehow not the Fists in the room with the mechant) while it also aggros the Fists and Bodyguards on the second floor despite them not having line of sight or any other mechanics that alerts them to your presence(i.e. War Drums, NPCs running upstairs to alert them, Horns etc.). The second floor cultists don't get aggroed unless you actually go to the floor. Additionally even if you eliminate every hostile in the bottom two floors and don't aggro the 3rd floor(which was a one of the bugs Hotfix 4 was supposed to fix) it still doesn't take you out of battle mode as it should.
But as stated above, you can still go out the back of the throne room to the left and do jumps up the broken scaffold to get up to the next level to fight him.
