Resisting the urge
I've tried to play an oath of ancients paladin with the Dark Urge origin, the tenets are to value life, so it's opposite to the urge. But it's not very worked out roleplay wise, you just play normally but roll often to do usual actions. Besides, having a unique background you get inspirations only from brutal murders and the like and lose access to the Dark Urge special powers if you resist the urge. I don't mind challenges, but as I said the way of resisting the urge doesn't feel like a proper developed roleplay option so far. But I'm like a few hours in the first act. So, has anybody tried to play a good character with the Dark Urge origin? I want to know if it's get better story wise.

You honestly thought playing Dark Urge with the most alignment restrictive class in D&D, where random acts of evil literally strip you of your class, that happen semi-randomly through the story, was going to be easy? :steamfacepalm:

Someone didn't think the option through. In short, playing Dark Urge as a Paladin is 100% guaranteed to end as an Oathbreaker unless you have endless gold, and you should have realized that before you even created the character. If you're wanting to play the resist/redeem arc of the background, you should have chosen a different class.

I realize that paladin is the most alignment restrictive class and Dark Urge is the opposite of paladin values that is the reason why I chose that. I didn't complain that the urge stripped me of my class, I don't know why you're telling me this.
