How the **** do you multi-class?

I play 5E tabletop, so I understand the game mechanics of multi-classing.

What I can't figure out is how to actually do it in BG3. Am I just missing something obvious on the level up screen?

I think each time you level there's a button on the leveling screen asking if you want to change class/multiclass. I haven't done it myself but I remember seeing it.

Look at the top left corner and click the class thingy when you're leveling, pick a different class.

This might not apply to you but you're also not allowed to multiclass on the lowest difficulty for some reason.

It doesn't apply to me, but it is good to know just in case I ever do another playthrough on a lower difficulty just to get through it quickly to see different story stuff.

Oh, ffs. Because the game just automatically applies the level up as the class you already were, I never noticed that there is a button in the upper right corner of that UI element once you select class. It always just looked to me like the only choice was your current class.
