I HATE the Goblin Camp
I'm so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pissed. This game is amazing, but, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ does ♥♥♥♥ turn up to 100 if you try to take out the Goblin Leaders. Four hours of watching Shadowheart fail every single attack. Wyll is incapable of even doing a skip (he can't jump). I keep selecting multiswing with Karlach but it seems to be the only melee move in the entire game that doesn't auto-move you first so I keep swinging at the air. I let this dude beat me just to tell me I didn't scream in pain well enough. I scream great.

It's really not that hard, just tedious, and the tiniest mistake can absolutely destroy you.

But what kills me, literally, is that your reward is a key to a room full of armed death traps and absolutely nothing of value. What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ prank. Bravo Larian.

I hate the Goblin camp because I can't play a good character and side with the Goblins. Maybe I just think they're misunderstood... maybe I think nature is smelly and gross.

I think the Gobos also could fall under the descriptors of smelly and gross, but a different kind. We were looting a lot of pork products from the courtyard but there were some niche meats we avoided.

I got a ranger as my main, a wood half-elf ranger. Horde breaker with Sleight of Hand:)
So i disabled all the traps on the left side in the cave by the goblin entrance. (Which place is still bugged, because if you save there, the traps will return, or just the empty space explodes on its own. Was a bug in EA too.)

I went inside interacted with all the goblins to learn the stuff. I talked to the bragging goblin and made him kiss the feet of Lae'zal. This made him go to the bridge thus leaving the main goblin camp.
I went toward the lone drunk goblin. Instead of shoving him down to the chasm(since i lose his items) i waited till he enters the plant covered corner where the campfire is. A quick strike with two poisoned blades and he was down and his corpse hidden from the other goblins. (It is better to send away the goblin children first, allthough not necessary.)
Then i went toward the outside, where the goblin lookout is present. I sneak climbed up with the whole party behind him.(If you take your time to notice how he moves it is entirely possible.) I attacked with hordebreaker, so i destroyed both him and the drum. Of course the guys down go alerted, so with my second guy i shot down the drum there. Thereafter i killed all the guards by the gate. Then i went to the sitting trio enjoying their drinks. I waited until the scout goes further alone to look around and quickly killed him. I effed up this time since i was visible, but the other three easily destroyed those two. (No wardrum near!)
Then i went and killed the lone goblin (the strongest after the boss apparantly:D) by the bridge. I went over to the chicken race part.(I already did the chicken race to get the xp.)
A lone goblin usually comes there and if you kill him in one of the alcovey plant covered parts, he will not be noticed as a dead guy. Now i went up and killed the five sleeping gobs/bugbears. After this i went down and killed the lone bugbear, picked up his corpse and hid it behind the wall. Then i traded all their items for the "named" magical items by the goblin trader.
Then i went inside using the cracked wall, above the ogre, and started my sneak killing with my ranger. As a half elf my char was immune to the sleep potion of the priest, so i killed her when she was alone, then killed the ogre. I climbed up and went toward the three guys guarding the fourth one in the trapped cage. Sniped them down, waited for the fourth one to come and killed him too. Then i killed the 3 gobs in the adjacent room using a longbow.
I went out and sold the items to the goblin trader.
I went back to near where the i killed Grut in her kitchen. There is a goblin that will occasionally come till a campfire present there so you can snipe him off. (Meanwhile on the opposite side there is a lone goblin in the main room you can kill with ranged, as he is not in any other goblins sight)
Near Mintharra there are two goblins in a nearby room, you can kill very fast without anyone noticing.(The room before the worg kennels. That kennels are so easy i wont even bother writing it down.)
I went to the entrance that is guarded by the ogre, but did not go outside. I positioned 2-2 characters on each side of the pallisade. I shot down the wardrum, and then the archers. The melee goblins did not reach my guys even with dash. So next round they were dead as well. I went inside Liam's room, listened to the conversations, initiated my own, then killed the goblins. Then i went over to Volo, conversations, i closed the door when all goblins were present (one tends to walk out) and killed all of them, rescued Volo. Now I went over to Mintharra talked to her initiated a fight and killed everyone. Now only the main room and the boss room remained. I went for the main room first, shot down from sneak the wardrums on both sides, then we all climbed up top. Sniped down one goblin, then all of them went for my characters, who were too far up and too far away for it to matter. Basicly easy kills without any damage.
Now i shot down the two remaining enemies by the spider prison. I released the spiders and asked them to eat goblins. They positioned themselves by the boss room. Climbed up across its entrance with Gale, Lae'zal and Shadowheart, my main ran inside and conversed with the boss, which initiated a fight(by this time i already shot down the war drum inside and also looted the treasure room:P), i dashed out of the room and nearly got to the ladder. (40 m+ dash, with the appropriate items:D +3 momentum on first round, and if you dash you also get +3, +1 momentum from ring and as a base 10.5 meter per turn:D)
Now the enemies all give a chase, but they are not even able to shoot at my character, and spiders activate:) Basicly anyone that came out the door was shot down. Only the boss was a bit troublesome as he has rage and then DR triggers, but you can shoot and fall back, all you need to do is just net let him get near enough to your characters to use repulsor.

Now i went ouside useing the cracked wall. Every goblin was hostile:) I sniped down a few from high ground, those that came the next round to my position via burrows were dealt with easily as well. Cleaning up the rest, and shooting down ogre from high ground, while falling back after shots so he cannot throw a rock at you, made sure nobody got hurt:)

Only thing i did wrong was i forgot to knock down mintharra instead of killing her:)

edit: you can pick up corpses so you can hide them like in Commandos!
edit2: There is a goblin that occasionally comes to piss behind the traders booth. You can kill him without anyone noticing, but you need to remove the corpse, as the Trader will come in sight range and will notice the corpse:)

Well they do torture people, murder refugees, worship an evil god, eat people ect. That is pretty evil.

Stop fighting and move and push. Deadliest attacks in the entire game combined with quick save scrumming. Anything that can move enemies - get it and then play pinball wizard - because this is DOS-styled underneath it all ;)

i came from the top... blew up all the ladders and tried to get the wardrums before i fought... i started picking off the goblins.. the orge cant come up.. the goblins will come up but its manageable because they all have to come the same way. eventually you can pick everyone off..

All fair points but you first interaction with a Druid is a woman threatening to murder a small child via venomous snake bite.

Besides, Sazza is dummy thicc.

I had no real problem with the camp. Destroy the drums, so they can't call for help, and then take each group out on its own. Use your resources, spells, and positioning to your benefit. If you still can't manage, then turn down the difficulty for that fight.

You can get Priestess Gut on her own (kind of) by asking her to remove your tadpole. Agree to take a potion and you'll wake up imprisoned in her personal quarters. You have all your equipment so just pick the lock.

By the way, your party can get to her personal quarters without attracting any attention by hopping over a wall.

You'll need to fight her and the bodyguard. When I did it this way, I put the bodyguard on the deck with Tasha's Hideous Laughter.
This was easy af
I just killed each leader in there rooms (so they dont all agro at once)
Then went room by room and wiped em out (most of em got like 12hp which is 1 hit)

The hardest part was outside at the front entrance but I called in my 3 ogre boys to come in on the horn and took em all out 1 hit at a time.

The only problem I had with the camp was a glitch with the floating eye where it saw me through a wall and kept summoning all the low level goblins to my location.

It ended up being to my benefit though because by the time I hit the three bosses they had all been left alone and all the trash mobs had swarmed me in a corner of the map.

Also, the room where Minthara is, there's a chasm with a wooden bridge. Push her into the chasm, or, if you can get her to stand on the bridge, attack the wooden support so it gives way under her.

But then you miss out on the nice light armour which will also be in the chasm.

That courtyard fight with the ogre swat team is pretty epic
